The Nexon EV is the all-electric version of the Tata Nexon compact SUV we’re familiar with. Headline numbers include 129hp power, a 312km ARIA-certified range and an 8 year/160,000km warranty on the 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

The SUV also offers an efficient high voltage system, fast charging capability, extended battery life, and solid safety features.
Technical specification:
All-electric compact SUV packs in a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery powering a motor that is good for 129hp and 245Nm of torque. ARIA-certified range is pegged at 312km on a single charge. A DC fast charger can take the battery level from 0-80 percent in just 1hr, and the time for a 15A AC supply to deliver a full charge is 8-9hr.
The company announced that the Nexon EV will have a range of around 300km. As far as performance figures go, the Nexon EV, according to Tata Motors, does the 0-60kph and 0-100kph sprints in 4.6sec and 9.9sec, respectively, making it one of the fastest Tata cars yet. The carmaker also claims a 50:50 front-rear weight distribution, which may also make the all-electric SUV an able handler.
There will be dedicated charging stations with up to 25kW DC fast chargers. Prospective customers from towns that are not a part of Tata’s shortlist will have the facility of reaching out to the appropriate sales locations through their nearest Tata dealership.
Variant specification:
- All Tata Nexon variant have EV get dual airbags, ABS, reverse parking sensors and child seat mounts.
- Basic XM variant have LED DRLs, part-digital dials, drive modes, power windows, key-less entry, key-less go and also an audio system with bluetooth connectivity.
- Mid-spec XZ+ adding in alloy wheels, rear wash/wipe, rear parking camera, rear air-con vents, a driver’s seat height adjust, a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple Car-play among other features.
- Nexon EV XZ+ Lux gets the most goodies including a sunroof, leatherette upholstery and auto headlights and wipers. However, it is quite pricey for what is a compact SUV.
